This past Monday, Dr. Laura's opening commentary (and the question posted to her Facebook page) was about questions to ask (and, presumably answer) before marrying. [This was originally posted in December 2015 and I'm bumping it up.]
This inspired me to come up with my own list a man should ask himself if he's thinking about marrying a specific woman. So here they are, in no particular order:
1) Is this the woman I want to have sexually rejecting me for the rest of my life?
2) Is this the woman I want unenthusiastically present while I have sex with her when she doesn't reject me?
3) Is this the woman I want to watch age, get wrinkly/spotty/saggy/fatter and die?
4) Is this the woman I want to be a financial drain on me?
5) Is this the woman I want to empower to send me to jail?
6) Is this the woman I want to financially support as she lives in my house while I’m ordered by a court to stay away?
7) Is this the woman I want to financially support for the rest of my life even if she stops being any help to me and leaves me?
8) Is this the woman I want cheating on me and subjecting me to paternity fraud?
9) Is this the woman I want hating me and choosing a lawyer I'll be paying to attack me?
10) Is this the woman I want to know all of my shortcomings and mistakes and imperfections and detailing them all to her friends, along with everything else she doesn’t like about me or wishes were different, and are her friends really people I want to have that information?
11) Is this the woman I want nagging, otherwise annoying, and abusing me?
12) Is this the woman I want wearing out my automobiles and crashing them?
13) Is this the woman I want screwing stuff up with my family and friends?
14) Is this the woman I want to empower to make medical decisions for me while she also stands to gain financially from my death?
15) Is this the woman I want in control of my calendar and social life?
16) Is this the woman I want determining which of my possessions I get to keep and how my home will be arranged and decorated?
17) Is this the woman I want hosting people from my professional and personal life?
18) Is this the woman I want with me when I go places and interact with people?
19) Is this the woman I want with me on all of my future vacations?

Why, oh why, weren't you around before I got married? Would have saved me a lot of headaches and money (of course, you would have been miserable, which isn't fair).
